Pictoplasma New York 2011 | Strategic Marketing Partner
As big fans and former repeat attendees of Pictoplasma — the world’s leading character design conference and festival —and long-time character design fanatics ourselves — it made sense for fiZz to give a marketing assist to Pictoplasma New York 2011.
fiZz sourced experienced volunteers and interns to execute core conference and festival initiatives in New York City for the Berlin-based organization. We set up strategic partnerships with reduced admission ticket promotions for members with the top design organizations in the city — including: American Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA/NY), The Type Directors Club (TDC), The Art Directors Club (ADC), Spark, and Graphic Artists Guild (GAG). We connected with some of the top art and design schools in the city — including: School of Visual Arts (SVA), Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) and Pratt Institute — by visiting animation department heads and providing printed materials about the conference and Character Walk maps for professors to share with their students. We also helped make connections to other venues including the Big Screen Project at the Eventi Hotel — where Pictoplasma reels played to kick off the event.
And, we created this cool character dress to wear to the after-party!
